Fresh, inspired food packed with flavor.
Betty Park opened her first business in Harlem in 1984. Being a Korean immigrant, it was very challenging as Harlem was not initially welcoming of the Korean influx. Most Korean businesses were almost totally un-involved with the community. She made it a priority to become invloved with the community by hiring employees from the neighborhood.
I've been eating at Mannas since I was a kid. I love it. It's a staple in Harlem. The mac and cheese is consistently good. Definitely worth stopping by one of three locations.
Manna's is great! I stopped by while in the area and was pleased to see their variety of offerings. The soul food seems to be what they're known for but really anyone could find something they like here.
The food is good! Flavorful and the meat is tender. I like that it is buffet style, and you can chose a variety of great eats! The place is tidy, quiet, and playing a great selection of music. I'm having a nice late lunch alone.
I asked a lady on the train where I could find some good food in Harlem and she recommended Manna s a few blocks away. OHEMGEE!! It was like coming home, everything from every corner of my family's American Food Story
Amazing soul food, awesome oldies playing over the speakers, and a very friendly staff.
